During and after college Kevin worked in management positions with different companies and operated a solo venture as an entrepreneur. Kevin also worked as a paralegal for a top tier law firm in their patent litigation department before attending law school. This practical, real-world, experience has given Kevin the ability to communicate and counsel clients on intellectual property and business matters in a meaningful way because he understands first-hand clients’ concerns. His personal grasp of business operations gives him the capability to advise clients on the proper protection to seek for their intellectual property in a way that helps clients see the best chances for a return on investment. Kevin received his Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University and has a B.S. in Biology.
Mr. Keener represents clients nationally internationally in matters of intellectual property registration, licensing, and litigation. Mr. Keener provides services to several industries, including software, media, entertainment, medical, health services, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, and business services. He assists clients in developing valuable patent and trademark portfolios. He aids clients in developing licensing strategies to utilize and monetize their portfolios. Mr. Keener provides enforcement services when client’s assets are infringed and defends claims of infringement when clients are threatened. Kevin focuses his practice on federal litigation and general transactional matters.
In his free time Kevin enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. Kevin’s main goals are to hike the Appalachian Trail and hike to Mt. Everest base camp. Kevin has also been a musician for years and enjoys playing guitar.

Rishi Nair

Rishi concentrates his practice primarily on trademark litigation and enforcement. He has represented clients in a variety of types of complex civil litigation, such as breach of contract, licensing disputes, trademark and patent litigation, fraud, statutory consumer fraud, and real estate litigation, including landlord-tenant disputes.
Rishi is experienced in many phases of litigation in both state and federal court, ranging from pleadings; dispositive motion practice, including motions to dismiss; fact and expert discovery; and, preliminary injunctions and temporary restraining orders; drafting pre-trial briefs; drafting jury instructions; voir dire (jury selection); and trial.
Mr. Nair also has dealt with an assortment of transactional matters, including contract drafting, venture capital fund formation, venture capital investment documents, trademark prosecution, drafting of website terms and conditions and privacy policies, as well as composing other legal agreements.
Rishi concentrates his practice primarily on trademark litigation and enforcement.
Rishi received his A.B. in political science from the University of Chicago and his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Amanda Westfall
Lawyer
Amanda focuses her practice on trademark prosecution and licensing.
Amanda is a Cleveland, Ohio native. She attended St. Albert the Great and Padua Franciscan High School, and then when to Ashland University for her undergraduate studies. At Ashland, she was an Ashbrook Scholar and received a degree in Political Science and Religion with a minor in Marketing. She also studied abroad in Taiwan.
Amanda received her Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law where she earned a Certificate of Concentration in Intellectual Property.
Ms. Westfall was also was an Associate Member and an Articles Editor for the Toledo Law Review, and wrote her Law Review Note titled “The Mickey Mouse Mark: How and Why Mickey Mouse will be Protected from the Public Domain” focusing on the relationship between copyright and trademark rights.
Amanda is a huge Walt Disney World fan, and enjoys playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering with her friends. She loves music of all genres and enjoys singing and playing guitar.
